Quilt Smart Mariners Compass

I have my favorite patterns when it comes to personal quilts……feathered star and mariners compass.    This is a client quilt that I did…..of course, mariners compass…….I feel really guilty accepting payment when the quilts make my heart sing…..and my heart was singing all the time I was quilting this.  The quilt did give me some problems……sewing across the interfacing where multiple layers were meeting did give me some tension issues so I was constantly adjusting while sewing on the interfacing and then adjust back on the non interfacing places….not as diffucult as it sounds…..just had to stop, adjust, and start, quilt for a while..then stop, adjust and start.

The colors are more dramitic than the pictures are showing……someday I will get some better photgraphy skills.   I have the perfect room in my home for photography…..but my DH claims it as his and he doesn’t like my stand and lights set up in his room……..he doesn’t use the room much……but I do get tired of taking the stuff up and down.  A better camera would also help (I use my daughters reject).    Someday when I’m rich and famous, I’ll invest in better equipment.
